Watch the Lions Dance During the Lunar New Year Celebration at the Waretown Library
January 22, 2026WARETOWN – Celebrate the Lunar New Year with the South Jersey Lion Dance Troupe during an exciting and colorful lion dance presentation at the Waretown Branch of the Ocean County Library at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 14.
Learn about the history and meaning behind this traditional dance, and find out why lions are considered good luck for the Lunar New Year. Enjoy a brief performance, make some noise, and join in the fun as the presenters teach the audience some lion dance moves. This festive program is for all ages.
