Point Pleasant Borough Branch of the Ocean County Library Closed for Building Maintenance
January 28, 2026POINT PLEASANT BOROUGH – The Point Pleasant Borough Branch of the Ocean County Library is closed for building maintenance following the discovery of water damage in several areas of the branch. After assessing the damage to the facility it was determined the branch would need to be closed to complete repairs.
Items on hold at the Point Pleasant Borough Branch will be transferred to the Point Pleasant Beach Branch, 710 McLean Ave., on Wednesday, January 28. Library patrons can request their items be sent to another branch by calling 732-349-6200.
The Point Pleasant Borough Branch book drop will remain open for returns.
Programs scheduled at the branch will be cancelled while the building remains closed.
Due dates for Chromebooks, hotspots, and Launchpads from the Point Pleasant Borough Branch will be adjusted to accommodate the temporary closure.
Patrons are encouraged to visit nearby OCL branches for in-person services.
Digital resources such as eBooks, audiobooks, research databases, and virtual programming remain available 24/7 through theoceancountylibrary.org.
Updates will be available through OCL’s social media accounts and website.
